Golden Red Crystal Texas Cichlid
The Golden Red Crystal Texas Cichlid is a striking hybrid cichlid that combines the bold look and personality of a Texas cichlid with the bright coloration and unique body shape often seen in parrot-type hybrids. While selectively bred, this fish still shows strong Texas cichlid traits, especially in its pearling, facial structure, finnage, and confident behavior.
Many specimens develop intense red, orange, and gold coloration across the body, along with heavy metallic spotting and shimmering scales that stand out under aquarium lighting. Some individuals become almost fully red as they mature, while others keep a mix of gold and pearled patterning.
Despite its hybrid background, the Golden Red Crystal Texas typically retains the hardy nature and interactive personality that Texas cichlids are known for. They are active, intelligent fish that quickly recognize their owners and often become the centerpiece of large aquariums.
